What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced understanding and knowledge about the body of theoretical and applied topics relevant to Education. They will have the qualities necessary for employment requiring the exercise of personal responsibility and decision-making. They will contribute to New Zealands development in Education, in specific areas such as curriculum and specialist subject studies, early childhood education, educational leadership, Maori education, adult community and tertiary education, counselling, developmental and educational psychology, and special education.

Minimum requirements
BTchg or a bachelors degree and teaching qualification, or equivalent. Those students who have a BTchg(Hons), an honours degree and a teaching qualification or a PGDip in a relevant field or equivalent, may take 120 credits to complete the MEd.
