Entry requirements
A New Zealand university entrance qualification or equivalent and the good character and fitness-to-teach requirements of the NZ Teachers Council. Applicants with English as a second language will be required to supply IELTS results.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will have advanced knowledge of early childhood studies and a breadth of knowledge across several humanities/social science disciplines. In addition they will have well developed pedagogical knowledge and practical experience of early childhood settings. They will be well-prepared for entering the early childhood teaching profession and qualified to teach to the objectives of Te Whariki. Postgraduate study opportunities include a Postgraduate Certificate / Postgraduate Diploma in Education and Professional Development (60/120 credits by course work), leading to a Master of Education (120-credit thesis).
