About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates will be able to critically analyse and engage in current museum and heritage practice in Aotearoa New Zealand. They will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and attributes to manage, interpret, display and care for cultural heritage objects, collections and buildings or sites in cultural heritage organisations. Graduates will be qualified to work in museums, galleries and heritage organisations in a range of roles, including management, policy, collections, exhibitions, public programmes and other areas of professional work. For most graduates this will be a professional degree leading to a career in the sector but some graduates may be able to continue to a master's degree by thesis or a PhD.

Minimum requirements
Completed a Bachelor s degree in a relevant area with at least a B grade average in 60 points of 300-level courses in the majoring subject or relevant area of study (or extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience that provides an equivalent level of preparation); and been accepted by the Head of School as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.
