About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management is an equivalent one year programme. The programme will provide students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills and will enhance opportunities for students to develop a broad understanding of environmental management thus preparing them for professional practice or further advanced study in this area. The programme comprises two elective options: renewable energy auditing and mineral resources management. The programme has as its core, theoretical and practical work in resource and environmental management - including principles relating to land, air, and water environmental management - coupled with studies in renewable energy and energy auditing. The programme also recognises the importance of the cultural dimensions of environmental management. This programme will equip students, who may have majored in a different discipline, with the skills and knowledge that fulfil the expectations of the environmental management industry, it practitioners and clients.
