What can I expect out of this qualification?
The aim of the Bachelor of Applied Management is to produce graduates who can thrive in diverse and evolving business environments, whether locally, nationally or internationally. The degree programme provides practical business expertise alongside essential leadership capabilities in communication, digital literacy, and ethical decision-making. The programme combines theoretical learning with practical application, promoting both specialised expertise and transferable skills.
Māori Organisational Leadership major
Programme Aim
On successful completion of this qualification graduates will be able to demonstrate the principles, and theories that support and tautoko the cultural practice of Māori Organisational Leadership. They will be able to lead confidently, ensuring the sustainable use of te reo Māori and tikaka Māori, enabling social change for their community.
Accounting major
Programme Aim
The aim of this programme is to equip students with a strong foundation in financial and management accounting, taxation, and business strategy. It will prepare graduates to apply their knowledge and skills in real-world business environments, enabling them to contribute at both operational and strategic levels.

Minimum requirements
Minimum Academic Entry Requirements is University Entrance * NCEA Level 3 * Three subjects - at Level 3 or above, made up of 14 credits each, in three approved subjects * Literacy - 10 credits at Level 2 or above, made up of: o 5 credits in reading o 5 credits in writing * Numeracy - 10 credits at Level 1 or above, made up of: o achievement standards - specified achievement standards available through a range of subjects, or o unit standards - package of three numeracy unit standards (26623, 26626, 26627- all three required). A mature applicant who does not meet the above requirements is required to demonstrate suitability through providing evidence of industry experience, and/or substantiated, relevant alternative qualifications.
