About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
Graduates are trained as competent clinical psychologists who can apply general conceptual and technical skills in diverse professional settings. Graduates will understand the interactive and mutually informative relationships between science and practice. The programme provides a comprehensive integration of academic and practical work to produce graduates who adapt to societal needs and changes in service delivery, think critically and communicate clearly. In addition, graduates contribute to the knowledge base of psychology through research, evaluate the effectiveness of professional services, embrace standards of professional ethics, recognise the importance of personal values, and appreciate and respect individual and cultural differences. Graduates may work as professional clinicians or undertake doctoral study to become specialists in an area of practice or pursue a career in research.
