Entry requirements

Eligible students will hold the New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 1 or equivalent;
OR
Will demonstrate competency in the graduate outcomes of NZCEL Level 1. This will be checked via a placement assessment prior to entry on the course. To be eligible, students must also be able to meet the attendance and study requirements of the course.

What can I expect out of this qualification?

The purpose of this micro-credential, Certificate in Intermediate English: Daily Life, is to build English language, literacy and numeracy skills that enhance learners' communication skills and support interactions in social, study, work and community settings.
The intended learner group for this micro-credential includes former refugees and migrants who can communicate in familiar everyday settings and are looking to improve their skills for professional and community engagement. It is designed to support independence and successful settlement outcomes.
