About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
To provide foundation skills people working in or seeking employment in the New Zealand aquaculture or other aquatics industries dealing with live fish.
To provide the aquatics and aquaculture industries with a recognised entry level training programme in order to assist with the raising of professional standards and overall level of competency.
To equip learners with the necessary skill and knowledge to improve the animal welfare of live fish and to help reduce the biosecurity risks associated with the keeping of aquatic livestock and to ensure the profitability of the facilities in which they work.
To equip learners with the skills to avoid and manage health and safety risks associated with the aquatics industry.
