Entry requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria for admission into the programme:
Academic 1. A recognised bachelor's degree in information technology or a related discipline with a 'B-' or higher average OR 2. Bachelor's Degree Honours in Information Technology or a related discipline OR 3. Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma in Information Technology or related field Special consideration may be offered for admission by the Deputy Chief Executive Academic based on evidence of academic capability and work experience.
English Language Entry Requirements
Applicants must have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake this programme, which is taught and assessed in English. Any applicant whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of their English language competency.
English Language requirements for International Students If English is a second language, then IELTS Academic score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6. The strategic purpose of this Postgraduate Diploma is to provide the New Zealand industry with IT experts who are innovative and can design novel solutions, focused on emerging technologies and to fill the skill gaps in IT specialised areas relating to the fields of cyber security, ubiquitous computing, data analysis and machine learning.
