What can I expect out of this qualification?
This micro-credential provides an introduction to foundational concepts in Information Technology (IT) and the core principles of Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. Through applied, scenario-based exercises, laboratory work, and structured coursework, ākonga will develop practical competencies in key areas such as Linux, Python programming, computer networking, cybersecurity, and database management.
In addition to technical skill development, the micro-credential also emphasises the cultivation of essential professional competencies. Learners will engage in activities designed to enhance communication, teamwork, and collaboration--skills critical for success in industry-based project environments.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
All applicants must have general IT technical knowledge. Evidence must be presented of achievement in computing subjects in NCEA Level 2 or above; or demonstrated capability through work experience; or equivalent.
