Entry requirements
Ākonga must be employed in a position where that role enables evidence gathering for the assessment tasks as detailed in the micro-credential. Or must have access to a commercial road transport workplace for work-based training/work placement.
Ākonga are required to have their employer's support, and the workplace must meet the approved training capacity requirements. Providers must ensure ākonga have access to a workplace that can provide learning support through mentors, verifiers, or supervisors who have expertise working in the commercial road transport industry.
Before starting the micro-credential, a literacy and numeracy assessment will be conducted. If any support needs are identified at this stage, entry will be reassessed, and a support plan will be created and implemented as necessary.
