About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the wool industry with individuals who have skills and knowledge to class either in the wool shed or elsewhere along any point of the wool supply chain.
The qualification recognises the skills and knowledge of wool classification, production, processing, and technology that meet wool supply chain, market, and customer requirements, that maximise return in the wool supply chain.
Graduates of this qualification will gain eligibility to become a wool classer certified with a Provisional (QP) stencil through the New Zealand Wool Classing Association.
Graduates will be capable of working independently and have some responsibility for the performance of others.
