About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
This qualification will provide Aotearoa New Zealand, the exercise industry, clients and the community with graduates who have the skills and knowledge of exercise prescription across a variety of exercise environments.
Graduates will be able to design and deliver advanced technical and personalised exercise programmes. They will have broad operational, theoretical and practical knowledge of exercise processes and self-manage their own promotion and performance.
Graduates will operate within a framework of health and wellness in relation to individual, group or community needs and can apply their skills to contribute to the cultural, social, and economic wellbeing of Aotearoa New Zealand.
Graduates will be eligible to register with the New Zealand Register of Exercise Professionals.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Domestic Students Successfully completed NZ Certificate in Exercise (Level 4) or be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge. International Students At least 18 years of age on day 1 of the course Successfully completed NZ Certificate in Exercise (Level 4) and IELTS 5.5 Academic with no band below 5.0 or TOEFL 550 (PBT), 60(IBT) or NZQA approved equivalent
