Programmes must reflect the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, its regulations and any subsequent amendments.
Programmes contextualised for a specific industry, must incorporate any industry specific approved codes of practice, safe work instruments and/or guidelines and standards into that programme.

What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand workplaces with people that have the skills, knowledge, and attributes to promote, monitor, and improve health and safety practices.
Graduates will have in-depth skills, knowledge, and attributes of health and safety practice in the workplace. Graduates may apply these skills in supervisory roles across a wide range of fields.
Graduates will benefit New Zealand workplaces, the community, and their whānau by promoting, and contributing to, health and safety in the workplace.
This qualification is designed for people who have, or are intending to have a workplace health and safety function as part of their primary job role.
