The qualification is intended for people wanting to develop a broad range of skills in the rituals of encounter that take place on the marae ātea.
The qualification meets the need of, whānau, hapū, iwi, communities and other entities wanting to grow capacity, capability and knowledge within their marae communities to manage their cultural, social and personal development in the rituals of encounter that take place on the marae ātea.
Graduates of this qualification will be able to apply a broad range of skills in upholding the mana of the marae community. They will also improve their knowledge, understanding and skills of how to participate in the rituals of encounter that take place on the marae ātea.
