What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the health sector with enrolled nurses who provide nursing care under the direction and delegation of a registered nurse or other registered health practitioner in a range of settings including acute care, rehabilitation, and mental health in the community and/or in hospitals.
This qualification is designed for school leavers, and people already employed, or intending to be employed in the health sector.
This qualification meets the Nursing Council of New Zealand requirements for application for registration in the enrolled nurse scope of practice.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
School Leavers NCEA Level 2 80 credits total or the equivalent. This includes: 10 credits in NCEA English/ Literacy Level 1 plus 12 credits in NCEA Mathematics/Numeracy or Pangarau Level 1 as well as a further 58 credits at level 2 or above in each of English, Mathematics, a science related subject and 1 other of choice Mature aged applicants (20 years of age or older) : Successful completion of the Certificate in Pre Entry to the Bachelor of Nursing or an equivalent programme of study at NZQA level 4 within the past 5 years.
