About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to recognise individuals that have attained sufficient knowledge and operational skills required to safely operate as a distribution operator in warehousing, distribution and supply.
Businesses and communities will benefit from having qualified people, with relevant skills that contribute to improving performance and productivity in distribution organisations.
Graduates will be capable of operating at an entry level, receiving goods, preparing and recording goods for dispatch under limited supervision.
The optional strand in Mechanised Goods Handling recognises the specialised skills and knowledge required to use mechanised goods handling equipment in a distribution environment.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
Warehousing and Distribution Qualification at Level 2 including NCEA Level 2 Vocational Pathway in Services Sector or equivalent knowledge and skills is preferred. All applicants must be16 years of age or over and be able to demonstrate that their Literacy and Numeracy levels show a readiness to succeed in this course. All applicants are also required to show a readiness or interest in the warehousing and Distribution vocational area
