What can I expect out of this qualification?
The Graduate Diploma in Supply Chain and Shipping Management is designed for those employed in, or interested in, the supply chain, shipping and international trade industry or its related sectors.
The programme addresses the needs of people currently working in the industry, wishing to enhance their industry skills and knowledge with a view to further developing their career path in international trade management.
When you graduate as a Trade, Logistics or Shipping Manager you will effectively and responsibly manage tasks employing applied logistics practice and sea trade analysis in response to industry research, global and local legislation and economic influences. This will be supported by your excellent business communication and marketing strategies

Minimum requirements
For Graduate Diplomas entry is open to degree graduates. However, subject to the regulations of the award, those who have been able to demonstrate equivalent practical, professional or educational experience of an appropriate kind may be granted admission. Applicants must meet the following entry requirements: Successful completion of an appropriate NQF level 6 or 7 programme, e.g. a business related degree or Former students who have gained a Level 7 Graduate Certificate in Supply Chain or a Level 7 Graduate Certificate in Shipping may be granted entry to the Graduate Diploma Programme. Former students who have gained a Level 6 GraduateCertificate in Supply Chain or a Level 6 Graduate Certificate in Shipping may also be granted entry to the Graduate Diploma Programme, provided they are also able to demonstrate appropriate work experience. or Successful completion of New Zealand Diploma in Supply Chain Management; plus relevant work experience or Successful completion of New Zealand Diploma in International Freight Logistics; plus relevant work experience* or Evidence of at least 3 years' relevant work experience at a senior operational level or equivalent (prospective students may be asked to complete a research essay to show academic ability).
