What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is:
- to provide competent employees who are able to work in senior retail or customer service or specialist roles in the retail sector;
- to provide a credential for those individuals who are working in senior retail or customer service or specialist roles, that will support their career opportunities across a range of organisations in the retail sector;
- to provide standards of professional practice for retail sector specialist roles that contribute to improving performance and productivity in the workplace and providing customers with a positive retail experience.

Entry Requirements
Minimum requirements
All applicants must: be at least 16 years of age at the time of enrolment into the programme; Hold 40 credits at NZEA (Level 1), including 10 literacy credits and 10 numeracy credits; or New Zealand Certificate in Retail (Level 3); Be currently working in a retail environment. Applicants, for whom English is not a first language, must achieve an IELTS General or Academic score of 5.5 with no band lower than 5.0 or hold an accepted international equivalence.
