About the course
What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the tourism industry with individuals who can support and enhance the visitor experience and use their skills and knowledge to strengthen the contribution of tourism to the New Zealand economy.
The qualification will benefit the community by enhancing the experiences of New Zealand's tourism visitors and bringing economic benefits to the country.
Graduates will be able to deliver, and assist in supporting the delivery of, a high-quality visitor experience in the tourism industry, working under broad guidance, and they may also have some responsibility for the performance of others.

Minimum requirements
Entry Requirements: Be at least 17 years of age NCEA Level 2 or relevant work experience in retail/sales/hospitality or any customer service-related industry English requirements for International students and students from a non-English speaking background:the minimum IELTS requirement is an Academic score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5.0.
