What can I expect out of this qualification?
The purpose of this qualification is to provide the tourism industry with individuals who can support and enhance the visitor experience and use their skills and knowledge to strengthen the contribution of tourism to the New Zealand economy.
The qualification will benefit the community by enhancing the experiences of New Zealand's tourism visitors and bringing economic benefits to the country.
Graduates will be able to deliver, and assist in supporting the delivery of, a high-quality visitor experience in the tourism industry, working under broad guidance, and they may also have some responsibility for the performance of others.

Minimum requirements
All applicants must: Be at least 17 years old at the time the programme commences; Be able to read, write, and communicate in English at a basic level; Be physically able to complete the programme specific outcomes. Applicants for whom English is not a first language must have an IELTS score of 5.5 with no band score lower than 5; or an accepted international equivalence.
